Description:If both allow=ulaw and allow=adpcm are in iax.conf and iaxy only has adpcm in iaxy.conf sent by iaxyprov then I get one way audio and many notices from asterisk of:

Apr 17 13:22:42 NOTICE[196621]: channel.c:1185 ast_read: Dropping incompatible voice frame on IAX2[iaxy]/9 of format ULAW since our native format has changed to ADPCM.

****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ******

This bug can probably can be closed as perhaps I shouldn't have both allow=ulaw and allow=adpcm in iax.conf and just define one or the other in the iaxy.  I don't know?

I apologize if I shouldn't have posted this but I thought you might possibly consider this a valid 'bug' so I have risked posting this and offending.  Any iaxy info welcome.

By the way I got round this with the standard definitions of several codecs in the general section of iax.conf and then for the iaxy itself I have :

disallow=all
allow=adpcm
; allow=ulaw  <<- ie. only define one.

Trivial I know but I'm adding this note hoping it might help anyone who sees this report and who needs to speak IAX2 to different peers using several codecs in the general section of iax.conf and wonders how I worked round it for the iaxy...

I tried to recreate your problem and was successful.  I think it is a matter of asterisk trying to force ULAW, and the IAXY refusing anything but ADPCM, since it was specified to use ADPCM in it's config file.   If this is a config issue, it needs to be clearly documented in iax.conf.sample, so as not to have this come up more often.

I'm closing this becauase I can no longer reproduce this with current cvs.  If you're still having this issue, just post back to it.
