Description: | i have module unloading compiled in the kernel. When i do an rmmod wct4xxp,it will unload it, if i then try to unload zaptel, it will says it is still in use. lsmod show zaptel use count 2. on a new insmod wct4xxp.ko, the server will become higly unresponsive and requires a reset. (normal reboot doesnt work for me it seems to hang somewhere). | ||
Comments: | By: Mark Spencer (markster) 2004-04-09 13:48:07 The practical solution is obviously to either go back to 2.4 or don't try to unload the module. 2.6 takes away all the mod_inc_use_count business and does it all "automatically" so you need to find a 2.6 guru that will be able to find the usecount problem if you want it fixed. By: James Golovich (jamesgolovich) 2004-04-09 13:50:51 I'll see if I can dig into this problem this weekend, but I think until zaptel is more officially supported on linux 2.6 I think we should be making any zaptel + 2.6 bugnote either a feature or minor. By: James Golovich (jamesgolovich) 2004-05-05 15:31:26 I haven't had any spare time to work on this yet. By: zoa (zoa) 2004-05-06 03:02:47 i can succesfully unload the card on kernel 2.6.3 (but thats on another machine) By: zoa (zoa) 2004-05-15 08:49:18 looks fixed. |
