Description: | Something is going on with the timing with the current version of the zaptel / wct4xxp drivers... This causes the remote end to send us yellow alarms, which causes all in-progress calls to be dropped. ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** With zaptel from 3/15, the following messages are logged on the console: Zapata Telephony Interface Registered on major 196 PCI: Found IRQ 5 for device 00:04.0 Found TE410P at base address fd000000, remapped to e0975000 TE410P version c01a009b FALC version: 00000005, Board ID: 00 Reg 0: 0x0af13800 Reg 1: 0x0af13000 Reg 2: 0x07fc07fc Reg 3: 0x00000000 Reg 4: 0x00000000 Reg 5: 0x00000000 Reg 6: 0xc01a009b Reg 7: 0x00001f00 Reg 8: 0x00000000 Reg 9: 0x00ff0000 Reg 10: 0x00000000 TE410P: Launching card: 0 TE410P: Setting up global serial parameters TE410P: Timing from source 0 Found a Wildcard: Wildcard TE410P-Xilinx Registered tone zone 8 (Norway) TE410P: Span 1 configured for CCS/HDB3/CRC4 SPAN 1: Primary Sync Source With zaptel drivers from 3/30, this changes to: Zapata Telephony Interface Registered on major 196 PCI: Found IRQ 5 for device 00:04.0 Found TE410P at base address fd000000, remapped to e0975000 TE410P version c01a009b FALC version: 00000005, Board ID: 00 Reg 0: 0x0c10c800 Reg 1: 0x0c10c000 Reg 2: 0x07fc07fc Reg 3: 0x00000000 Reg 4: 0x00000000 Reg 5: 0x00000000 Reg 6: 0xc01a009b Reg 7: 0x00001f00 Reg 8: 0x00000000 Reg 9: 0x00ff0000 Reg 10: 0x00000000 TE410P: Launching card: 0 TE410P: Setting up global serial parameters TE410P: Timing from source 4 Found a Wildcard: Wildcard TE410P-Xilinx Registered tone zone 8 (Norway) TE410P: Span 1 configured for CCS/HDB3/CRC4 SPAN 1: Primary Sync Source Note that the difference between these two are the single line that says "TE410P: Timing from source X", which on the current version of zaptel says "4", and the one from 3/15 says "0". The only span that is configured in zaptel.conf is span 1, which is set up with "span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4". Spans 2, 3 and 4 are not configured at all. Spans 1, 2 and 3 are jumpered for E1 while span 4 is jumpered for T1. The rest of zaptel.conf (aside from comments) reads: bchan=1-15,17-31 dchan=16 loadzone=no defaultzone=no To reiterate, the system works fine with zaptel dated 3/15, and gets yellow alarms with zaptel dated 3/30. | ||

I've put some changes in this morning which should also help. By: juanjo (juanjo) 2004-03-31 15:47:38.000-0600 Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I rolled back the CVS to 2004/03/05 and everything come back to normal. With current Zaptel I saw the same "Timing from source 4" message as tholo and with 2004/03/05 I saw "Timing from source 0". I also got a Yellow alarm and Asterisk reset the channels with the lost of all current conversations. I attached a Cobra PRI monitor and I saw constant Sync Errors. By: Thorsten Lockert (tholo) 2004-03-31 16:02:05.000-0600 dmesg output changed to: Zapata Telephony Interface Registered on major 196 PCI: Found IRQ 5 for device 00:04.0 Found TE410P at base address fd000000, remapped to e0975000 TE410P version c01a009b FALC version: 00000005, Board ID: 00 Reg 0: 0x06856800 Reg 1: 0x06856000 Reg 2: 0x07fc07fc Reg 3: 0x00000000 Reg 4: 0x00000000 Reg 5: 0x00000000 Reg 6: 0xc01a009b Reg 7: 0x00001f00 Reg 8: 0x00000000 Reg 9: 0x00ff0000 Reg 10: 0x00000000 TE410P: Launching card: 0 TE410P: Setting up global serial parameters TE410P: Timing from internal timer Found a Wildcard: Wildcard TE410P-Xilinx Registered tone zone 8 (Norway) TE410P: Span 1 configured for CCS/HDB3/CRC4 SPAN 1: Primary Sync Source .. but the problem remains, I still get yellow alarms and call drops.
