Description: | This my fall under the libpri instead of zap, but here it is none the less. I need to have asterisk be able to hand off 2 b channels of a PRI to the upstream switch. This would get * out of the bridge and more importantly, release the use on the channels on the PRI. ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** Additional info on the 2BCT can be found on John Todd's website. URL is: http://www.loligo.com/asterisk/misc/GR_2BchanXfer.pdf Please contact off-list if you need more info. I would be wiling to place this back into community so the bounty would take that into account. In other words, give me an idea of how much!!! | ||
Comments: | By: Andrew Kohlsmith (akohlsmith) 2004-02-22 22:49:16.000-0600 So... this is something that is negotiated with the telco switch, correct? If both B channels originate from the same PRI * should somehow negotiate with the switch (q.931?) that they be connected at the switch side instead of through the controller (*) -- is this correct? By: opsys (opsys) 2004-02-23 00:43:58.000-0600 It uses FACILITY?? Commands. IT does not have to be one the same PRI to work, however I believe it has to be on the same PRI group... The document on the jtood website provides for good reading! I wish I knew what I was READING. By: Olle Johansson (oej) 2004-04-10 09:12:05 Closing this, since we're moving bounties to the wiki. Please add details to http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+bounty+PRI+2B+channel+transfer There's no amount here, start with something to get coders interested :-) If this is too advanced for general programmers, consider discussing this with Digium directly and get a quote from them. |
