Description:It would be very helpfull if we had the current language of caller set in a variable for using it in extensions.conf.

Today, the caller's preferred language cannot be used for making decisions.

This is a great idea.  I've commited a patch to the CVS head to add this.  
${LANGUAGE} is the name of the channel variable
