Description: | Not exactly sure where to log this. Does not really seem like deadlock with threads but a thread seems hung (?) Received call inbound via X100P Zap/1 Call Answered Zap/6 and parked on 701. Call retrieved via another Zap Extension Zap/2. Three way call attempted outbound via IAX2 (voicepulse). Some Kind of problem. Channel Zap/2 in hung state (not sure this is deadlock) Called 701 parked ext, no call parked, called Zap/2 (ext 100). Phone non-functional. pulled backtrace attached. Debug log of activity attached (dialed-out number changed) ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** Asterisk CVS-01/19/04-09:31:47 System Dual Pent III 600 Mhz RH9 1 GB mem 1 X100p 2 X 4 port TDM400P IAX2 via voicepulse Looked at backtrace. By: Mark Spencer (markster) 2004-02-06 22:19:06.000-0600 Can I ssh into your box? Find me on irc (irc.freenode.net in #asterisk, kram) By: woofie (woofie) 2004-02-07 10:50:38.000-0600 Thanks for the support on this so far. During my research into this and other anomalous things related to call transfers I went back to the basics and discovered the server I am running this on is out of spec for the intended hardware. While I thought the server was PCI 2.2 compliant it is actually PCI 2.1. The TDM400P cards I am using (two fully populated) require 2.2. I do not want to waste anyone&ASTERISK-7996;s time diagnosing an issue that is related to out of spec conditions. I am now working on acquiring a replacement server to move this installation to however that will take several weeks. So I will leave the option up to the powers at be that know better than I. The issue can be closed, or left open, its up to you. What I find interesting is that everything besides the anomalies, works great and the system is extremely stable except during certain call transfer situations, granted it is not under significant load. I am not familiar with the PCI specifications enough to determine if this is normal, expected or not. I will work towards configuring a ssh for possible remote access. IRC is something I typically don&ASTERISK-7996;t use but will work towards setting that up also. Not sure if trying to diagnose this issue on an out of spec installation is worth anything to anyone. However if it happens again and you are interested in examining things, I would be happy to let you in. Otherwise I would like the issue closed till I am on a new in spec configuration, and them we will see. Thanks. By: Mark Spencer (markster) 2004-02-07 10:56:28.000-0600 The failure of PCI 2.1 vs. 2.2 typically manifests itself as the TDM card not being seen. If you can see the TDM card then it's fine. By: woofie (woofie) 2004-02-07 11:13:08.000-0600 Alright, then we will move ahead, let me work first on setting up ssh to let you in (my config is key based, got to get a password based on going). Then we can move ahead from there. Also and Windows/linux IRC tools you find work best? By: woofie (woofie) 2004-02-09 20:00:02.000-0600 After reading the mailing list interaction on system freeze today. I am wondering if this issue (and other Freezes I am having) is related to bug 963. While I do not use meetme, it seems from the interactions that my system falls into the categories in questions. RH9, SMP Quad ethernet pro 100. Also, If I get a thread or line hang again, I will try and locate you on IRC, got the SSH to do passwords to let you in... I will post the specific system details on Server Freezes as bugnotes to 963 I will update this item if similar condition occurs. By: Brian West (bkw918) 2004-02-10 15:23:26.000-0600 you can use BitchX on linux or mIRC on windows to get on IRC. By: zoa (zoa) 2004-02-25 07:34:31.000-0600 Reminder sent to woofie do you still have this problem? By: woofie (woofie) 2004-02-25 09:37:22.000-0600 This specific problem has not recurred, problem seemed to migrate to System Freezes later, Have downloaded Kernel updates, changed ethernet driver and have upgraded to latests asterisk CVS. Will see if it happens again Since it has not recurred at all, would like to close this and will open an new one if it happens again Thanks By: zoa (zoa) 2004-02-25 10:43:19.000-0600 bug is closed. If the problems is back i'll reopen it |
