if its taken from the wiki and from the mailinglist, who has to send a disclaimer ?

Good question. While producing the Wiki, I considered everything on the Wiki and on the mailing list free to use within the project. Don't believe we should have any problem. Florian compiled this text from the list into the Wiki, so I'll check with him.

I would tend towards believing that wiki information is BSD licensed, since it (by default) is in an editor environment where anyone can change it and it's availability is universal.  There are no implied or explicit copyright notes, and the whole concept of the wiki is for inclusionary alterations.

I think Digium should indicate what way they would feel happiest, intellectual property-wise. Even though I contributed (some of) the text in the Wiki page, other people have too. Oej has also been known to use mailinglist-content on the wiki, so I consider this a 'generic issue'.

While I would like to be recognised as a contributor to this type of content I have no desire to be strict about it at this time. I would happily provide a disclaimer for it if nessecary. As with Oej, this (documentation and support) is probably my more significant contribution to the project, since I am not that good a programmer aside from the occasional hack :-)
