Description:The aes* files recently added to the CVS have DOS line endings.  Older gccs can't compile them due to the fact that those gccs don't recognise \CRLF as a preprocessor continuation line.

sorry - if its not obvious I would suggest that the file lineendings are converted to Unix-style

EG in VIM:
 vim filename
 :se ff=unix
 :wq
