Description: | zttool reports OK on unconfigured spans on TE410P. It would be nice if it could say OFF or something more descriptive than OK instead. | ||
Comments: | By: Brian West (bkw918) 2003-11-24 11:25:19.000-0600 unconfigured spans shouldn't show up at all .. whats your zaptel.conf look like? By: thansen (thansen) 2003-11-26 03:32:09.000-0600 root@gw-4:~# cat /etc/zaptel.conf | grep -v "^#" | grep -v "^$" span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 bchan=1-15,17-31 dchan=16 loadzone = da defaultzone=da By: Brian West (bkw918) 2003-11-26 11:22:08.000-0600 what card do you have? By: thansen (thansen) 2003-11-27 02:50:42.000-0600 The config was from the TE410P I noticed the zttool behaviour on. I also have an E400P but all 4 spans is being used in production, so I can't test if zttool behaves the same way on that card too. By: Brian West (bkw918) 2003-11-28 16:25:17.000-0600 config all 4 spans.. see if it shows alarms. I think they are accually ok if not configured... span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 span=2,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 span=3,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 span=4,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 I bet then you will see alarm conditions. By: thansen (thansen) 2003-12-01 02:22:56.000-0600 I know I will. But I suggested this feature because it may help other users seeing "OK" in zttool to realise that the span might not be configured. I was wondering about the "OK" myself because I knew I hadn't configured them. By: zoa (zoa) 2004-01-11 22:57:03.000-0600 Doesnt sound like a bug to me. By: thansen (thansen) 2004-01-12 02:07:48.000-0600 Severity: feature Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean "feature request" i.e. a wishlist item? By: Brian West (bkw918) 2004-02-02 00:06:53.000-0600 Fixed in CVS please test. |
