Description:Calling from a SIP or ZAP phone out of an Asterisk box using an X100P alway shows "NO ANSWER" in both the MySQL CDR and the Master.csv file and the billsec is always 0..

The process, I dial my cell phone, answer the call, wait a few seconds and then hangup the SIP or ZAP phone..

The callprogress algorithm that's in CVS is optimised for US use only. Also it doesn't work 100%. But that's the penalty that you got to pay for analog ... There's been someone one the mailing list that got it ported to other countries though.

Ok, Thats fine.. This is just a development server anyway.. At least I know its an issue.. Will the multiport analog card have the same problem?

The problem is a natural one on FXO interfaces.  There is no signalling that the other end answered, you can only try for audio clues.  In this case, I theorize that if you actually said "Hello?" on the answering line that it would in fact show up as an answer.

Can you confirm that to be true in your application?

Actually talking on the phone before hanging up made no difference..
I spoke on the line in both directions and when I hung up the local SIP phone first it records as "NO ANSWER", If I hang up the phone on the PSTN first then the CDR shows as "ANSWERED" but only from the time the PSTN phone hangs up.. In other words the billable seconds is only from the time the PTSN side phone hangs up to the time I put down the SIP phone..

maybe it's not sensitive enough.  You should see something like "Zap/1 answered" or something.once we complete the answer detection.  We detect the answer when we have sufficient audio that is not ringback.

Is this something that can or can't be fixed since it is dealing with analog...??

By: wipeout (wipeout) 2003-11-22 15:51:00.000-0600

Becasue its analog its just something that we are going to have to live with I guess.. So you can probably clsoe this..
