Description: | Those quotes around callerid that asterisk sends are very anoying. Its just a tweak that would make it appear better on the name when being displayed. "John Smith" 700-555-4040 It would just look better. | ||
Comments: | By: x martinp (martinp) 2003-08-12 22:13:41 Where do you see the quotes exactly ? You shouldn't see it on analog FXO/FXS channels ... they're only present in the config files and in 'sip debug'. Please explain what you meant. By: Brian West (bkw918) 2003-08-12 22:48:03 FXO => SIP .. CallerID from PSTN is wrapped with quotes. Also Caller ID from other stuff is wraped with it also. bkw By: x martinp (martinp) 2003-08-12 23:47:02 Do you see "" in 'sip debug' or on the display of your SIP phone ? By: Brian West (bkw918) 2003-08-12 23:51:12 the caller id on my sip phone includes the "'s. I'm using Cisco ATA-186's... Also i'm bkw_ on #asterisk if you want instant response. :P edited on: 08-12-03 23:50 edited on: 08-12-03 23:50 By: Mark Spencer (markster) 2003-08-17 12:45:00 The SIP spec specifically says we should use quotes (unless it's a single token, but we're still permitted to). This is a bug in your ATA-186. |
