Description:Those quotes around callerid that asterisk sends are very anoying.  Its just a tweak that would make it appear better on the name when being displayed.

Where do you see the quotes exactly ? You shouldn't see it on analog FXO/FXS channels ... they're only present in the config files and in 'sip debug'. Please explain what you meant.

FXO => SIP .. CallerID from PSTN is wrapped with quotes.  Also Caller ID from other stuff is wraped with it also.

Do you see "" in 'sip debug' or on the display of your SIP phone ?

the caller id on my sip phone includes the "'s.  I'm using Cisco ATA-186's... Also i'm bkw_ on #asterisk if you want instant response. :P

The SIP spec specifically says we should use quotes (unless it's a single token, but we're still permitted to).  This is a bug in your ATA-186.
